The direction of my practice has grown to incorporate my personal history through processes of crafting. As a mixed race artist, my fascination with dualities is rooted in my upbringing and communicating through creation. In this new body of work, I push material exploration in crafting works that challenge traditional cultural objects. Using metal and clay to fold dumpling forms and to create large scale chinese knots, these works fuse the dualities of my cultures through material manipulation.
