'Memento Hic' Series

Some time ago, our worlds shrunk down to boundaries of our homes. Through my own confinement, I found my changed landscape altered my methods of creation. There was no place for wearable art in the exterior world, beyond the walls of our homes, so the space for their existence became those very walls. This has birthed a work in progress of a series of clay, plaster and enamel brooches, that overcome the confinement of wearability in art jewellery. Using magnets as fasteners means each piece can easily be worn as a brooch on the body or displayed on the wall, and interchanged endlessly.
